Gospel of Judas - Rabbit Trail

·         First Word - There are many writing out there that were not included in the Bible, because their FENSE POST did not line up with the Fence Post of the other writers of the Bible.  These writings are known as; The Apocrypha, The Forgotten Books of Adam and Eve, The Lost Books of the Bible, The Missing Books of the Bible, The Gospels of The Dead Sea Scrolls, and The Gospel according to Whoever. – It was the practice and custom of the day, to write on a subject and attach someone else’s name of notoriety to it, just to give it some form of credibility.

·         The Gospel of Judas like many Gnostic works, is a Gnostic gospel whose content refers to itself specifically as "The Secret Account of the revelation that Jesus spoke in conversations with Judas Iscariot. - Since it contains late 2nd century theology, it is thought to have been composed in the second century by Gnostic Christians, NOT by Judas himself. - It was originally 31 pages, but only 13 pages have survived.  It has 16 chapters teaching about spiritual matters and COSMOLOGY.

·         Gnosticism – The term comes from the Ancient Greek word: γνωστικόςgnostikos, meaning; Having Knowledge, Enlightenment, Salvation, Emancipation or “Oneness with God”.

• Gnostics – The “People In The Know” – Taught Secret Revelations combined with a mixing of myths and rites drawn from a variety of religious traditions.  They believe we are all in a TIME CONTINUUM and that Jesus had taught Secret Teachings to the Apostles that moved them along this continuum.
• The Gnostics maintained that this material world and all that’s in it is the result of a Cosmic Catastrophe, and was created by an evil lesser god and our SOUL needs to escape this material world and return to the world of the spirit.

·         The gospel of Judas seems to argue that unlike the SOUL, the PHYSICAL BODY is NOT a prison which needs to be escaped from. (The Rapture; The Fly Away Doctrine)

·         Jesus was sent as the Son of the true God, not of one of the lesser gods. - His mission was to show that salvation lies in connecting with THE GOD WITHIN THE MAN. - Through embracing THE INTERNAL GOD, the man can then return to the imperishable realm.

• Women - If you can just comprehend the Gnostic thinking, that women were just a part of a Time Continuum that begins with plants, then evolves to bugs, then animals, then women, then men and finally to a god.  - So, ultimately as you progress along the Time Continuum, you would be like the gods.  (This was the very lie that Satan taught in the Garden of Eden)
• A “female” in the Time Continuum, was actually a “male” that had just not yet “arrived”. – So a female was considered a “second class” person; an inferior human being – Inferior to her father, her brothers, her husband and to all men. – This is why Mary Magdalene was not believed about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Why would Jesus appear to a woman first?
• This thought process had to do with domination.  The top denominates downward like a master over his slave.  The more powerful Male is SUPPOSED to dominate the less powerful female. - Far out stuff, huh !
• Salvation cannot be obtained until ALL souls have returned to the spiritual realm.
• But, we can’t escape as long as “WOMEN” keep having babies. – So avoid procreation; -Don’t participate.  - A non-reproductive woman is “on her way” to becoming a “man” and thus entering the kingdom of heaven. – Today we see women marring women and they cannot reproduce and they dress themselves like a man. - Is this some far out, messed up stuff or what?

·         You can go to any Catholic bookstore and pick up a copy of the Gnostic Gospels, there is no attempt to hide them. – You can also go on line on the internet. - Christians may or may not believe them to be true.

·         The Gospel of Judas portrays Judas's actions as done in obedience to instructions given to him by Christ. - He is portrayed as the only one of Jesus's disciples who accurately understood the words of his master.  – He was a Divinely Appointed Instrument of a grand and predetermined purpose. – He was PREDESTINED. - It asserts that the other Disciples had not learned the true Gospel, which Jesus taught only to Judas Iscariot, who the SOLE follower belonging to the "holy generation" among the disciples.

·         Elsewhere in the manuscript, Jesus favors Judas above the other disciples by saying, "Step away from the others and I shall tell you the mysteries of the kingdom", and "Look, you have been told everything.  Lift up your eyes and look at the cloud and the light within it and the stars surrounding it. The star that leads the way IS YOUR STAR." – Wikipedia

·         Interestingly, The Bible does not say that Judas went to Hell or the Lake of Fire, it just says he went to his own place. – SELAH - Think about that - NYOBS 10.34 - JUDAS CONSPIRACY

The Temple Institute

·         The Temple Institute, founded by Yisrael Ariel is an organization in Israel known in Hebrew as Machon HaMikdash. - The Institute is focused on the controversial endeavor of establishing the Third Temple. - https://www.templeinstitute.org

·         After almost 2,000 years, Israel is clearly moving towards the time when the prophesied Third Holy Temple will be rebuilt on Mount Moriah.

·         FYI - There is a controversy about whether the Temple should be rebuilt by Human hands or Divine hands. -  Jewish tradition believes that the Tenth and Final Red Heifer will be sacrificed and burned by the Messiah Himself. -  The Temple Institute believes that the Jews have the mandate of purification and the rebuilding of the Temple.

·         Primary Importance of the Temple Institute is to provide education about the great significance of Mount Moriah; the Temple Mount in Jerusalem which is the only site in the world that is considered Holy by the Jewish people, and the only site in the world which God chose to rest His Divine presence through the establishment of the Holy Temple.

·         Their ultimate goal is to see Israel rebuild the Holy Temple in accordance with the Biblical commandments. - The Temple was not only the soul of the city, but the soul and conscience of the entire earth and a “Wonder of the World”… and it will be again.

Temple Furniture and Vessels

·         For the past 27 years sacred Temple vessels and Priestly garments have been created and fashioned by accomplished craftsmen according to the exact Biblical requirements, specifically for use in the future Holy Temple where they will be called into Divine service.

·         The Menorah; (the seven candlesticks) which stands today in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem's old city is the work of the Temple Institute’s full time staff of researchers - It was painstakingly crafted and created after years of extensive research to be used exclusively in the new Holy Temple. – It currently overlooks the Temple Mount. - It weighs 1,000 pounds and contains forty five kilograms of twenty four karat gold and is valued at three million dollars. ·         Ritual objects have already been completed by the Temple Institute; the reproduction of over ninety objects that will be used in the new Temple.  Here are a few as listed by Wikipedia.

1)     Copper Laver – For Kohanim to wash in at the start of the day

2)    Small Mizrak – Holds blood from the sacrificial animals

3)    Large Mizrak – Holds blood from the larger animals

4)    Three-pronged fork – To arrange the offerings on the altar.

5)    Measuring cup – To measure meal offerings

6)    Copper vessel - To prepare meal offerings

7)    Silver Shovel – To remove ashes from the alter

8)    Silver vessel - For wine libation – For wine accompanying offerings

9)    Lottery box – For Yom Kippur – Which is the Day of Atonement – Holiest day of the Year.

10)  Silver alter cup - For water libation – For Sukkot

11)   Silver libation vessels – For Sukkot – Festival of “Booths” or “Tabernacles”; a dwelling.

12)  Sickle – To reap the Omer of barley – The Omer is a unit of measurement

13)  Other offering implements – To offer the omer of barley

14)  Abuy – To roast the omer of barley

15)  Menorah cleansing vessel – To clean the Menorah

16)  Oil Pitcher – For replenishing the oil in the Menorah

17)  Small golden flask – For replenishing individual Menorah lamps

18)  Frankincense Censer – For burning incense - Smoke

19)  Incense chalice – For Ketoret or incense offering

20) Menorah – The lamp stand for the Temple

21)  Table of Showbread – Holds the cakes or loaves of bread that were always present.

22) Incense Alter – For Ketoret or incense offering

23) Ark of the Covenant – Holds the Ten Commandments, Aarons Rod and a golden jar of Manna

24) Crown – Worn by the High Priest – Completed in 2007

25) Garments – Worn by the High Priest - Completed in 2008

26) Silver Trumpets – Announce special occasions and offerings

27) Gold plated Shofar – For Rosh Hashanah – The Jewish New Year.

Make Believer - Rabbit Trail

·         Sunday Christian - A follower of Christ can go to Sunday School and Church - Sing the songs of Praise - Enter into prayer - Be a part of laying hands on the sick - See the Holy Spirit at work in healings and miracles - Taste the sweetness of communion with the other saints… And still not be a part of the Faith. – NYOBS 35.02 – FALLING FROM GRACE

·         How can that be; the Bible teaches that once you are saved you are always saved.

·         As Jesus taught His followers, they experienced the miracles of healings; the casting out of demons; the feeding of thousands and tasted the power of the Holy Spirit; but at some point they could not spiritually discern His teachings which caused them to walk away.

·         IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for someone like this with their own ability and power to come back to the Faith; except by the GRACE of Jesus Christ.  - With Him all things are possible.

·         According to Scripture the rain waters all the soil, some good and some not so good.  Some brings forth good vegetation and some brings up worthless thorns and thistles; but both got the same water.  NYOBS 30.27 – TWO JUDGMENTS

·         A True Believer will not leave the Faith. – A Make-Believer will; this proves that they were never a part of the Faith to begin with.

·         How can you know if you are a True Believer? - God said, you will know them by their fruits’; their actions. – Take a close look at your “check book”; your speech, your SONGS and your activities. – Do they honor God or bring shame?

·         The Fruit of the Spirit has nine expressions; but all nine of them are exhibited as just ONE fruit - Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. – They are utilized along with the Gifts of the Spirit for the perfecting of the Saints and the building up of the Church body. – Does your actions build up the Church and strive for the perfection that is offered through Jesus Christ?

·         Adam and Eve were not kicked out of the Garden because of their sin; they were kicked out because they DID NOT CONFESS their sin and seek forgiveness.  Instead they blamed each other as well as God for their actions – Obedience brings Mercy and Blessings – Disobedience brings Judgment.

·          Lip Service - Are you just going through the motions, having only “a form of Godliness”? – Is God’s word spoken through your mouth, but not spoken in your actions?

·         We are told to examine ourselves before we take part in communion.  Do we have unconfessed sin? – Do we need a “course correction” in our life?

·         God does not have any STEP CHILDREN; only Children.  You are not a child of God because your Mama is. – Life is Choice Driven – Are you a Believer or a Make-Believer?

John 6:66 – Many DISCIPLES left the Faith.

1 John 2:19 – The left because they were MAKE BELIEVERS
