WALLS TRUMP
& GOD
Are Border Walls un-scriptural and un-Christian?
Pope
on Walls
·
President Donald J. Trump ran on a platform of
building a wall to protect and provide peace for our nation. – There was a lot
of blowback from many sides about this concept.
·
Pope Francis said February 2016 that “a
person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not
building bridges, is not Christian. This is not in the Gospel”.
·
If the Pope is speaking ONLY
of the Gospel Message, I believe he is correct; the Gospel message is of building
bridges, not walls of discrimination, but if he is indicating that border walls
are not Biblical, then this thought is in direct conflict with the Book.
·
Can it be true, that building walls is
not scriptural and un-Christian? – I have never been to Rome, but I see
pictures of the Vatican with a huge wall around it. Looking it up on the internet, I find that
the Muslims
damaged St. Peter’s Cathedral in 846, so a wall was built in 852 around the
Vatican to keep the Muslims out; successive Popes have expanded this
wall.
·
America for the most part
has rejected God
in their lives, following their own stubborn desires, living according to their
own ideas and God has turned His face away and the Muslim extremist and other terrorist are streaming in over our borders.
·
Ezekiel says the USA is an unprotected
land filled with unwalled
villages. ISIS
will march against her and destroy these people who live in such confidence. - They will go to those cities and capture vast
amounts of plunder, for the people are rich with stock and other
possessions. THEY THINK
THE WHOLE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND THEM! - It’s in the Book -
Psalm 81:10-12 – USA has followed their own
stubborn desires
10 For it was I, the LORD your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things.
11 But no, my people wouldn’t listen. Israel did not want me around.
12 So I let them follow their own stubborn desires, living according to their own ideas.
(NLT)
Psalm 80:12-19 – God has turned His face away from
America
12 But now, why have you broken down our walls so that all who pass by may steal our fruit?
14 Come back, we beg you, O God of Heaven’s Armies. Look down from heaven and see our plight. Take care of this grapevine
19 Turn us again to yourself, O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
12 But now, why have you broken down our walls so that all who pass by may steal our fruit?

19 Turn us again to yourself, O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
(NLT)
Ezekiel 38:11-12 – Unwalled nations will be plundered
11 You will say, ‘Israel is an unprotected land filled with unwalled villages! I will march against her and destroy these people who live in such confidence!
12 I will go to those formerly desolate cities that are now filled with people who have returned from exile in many nations. I will capture vast amounts of plunder, for the people are rich with livestock and other possessions now. They think the whole world revolves around them!’ (NLT)

Trump
on Walls
·
The Book
says the
walls of Jerusalem are continually before God.
·
Trump said; “I visited the
Western Wall,
and marveled at the monument to God's presence and man's perseverance – I was
humbled to place my hand upon the wall and to pray in that holy space for
wisdom from God”.
·
No mother or father wants their children to
grow up in a world where TERRORISTS roam
free, schoolchildren are murdered, and their loved ones are taken. No child is born with prejudice in their
heart. No one should teach young boys
and girls to hate and kill.
·
When we look around this
city,
and we see people of all faiths engaged in reverent worship, and school
children learning side-by-side, and men and women lifting up the needy and
forgotten, we see that God's promise of healing has brought goodness to so many
lives. We see that the people of this land had the courage to overcome the
oppression and injustice of the past and to live in the freedom God intends
for every person on this earth.
·
Note: The Western Wall is
clearly in Jerusalem, but is it in Israel or is it a part of the West Bank? –
More controversy and trouble is on the horizon. - (It will be called Jacobs
Trouble)
·
King David’s prayer was
for peace
within Jerusalem’s WALLS. – Isaiah said Mexico would pay for the Wall and to open the gates ONLY
to those who would be faithful.
·
Could Trump
be known as the Biblical “Rebuilder of Walls”? - It’s in the Book -
Psalm 122:6-7 – Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
within walls
6 Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.
7 O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your WALLS and prosperity in your palaces. (NLT)

Isaiah 58:11-12 – Could Trump be The Rebuilder of
Walls
11 The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.
12 Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then

God
on Walls
·
The Book says that King Asa did what was pleasing and
good in the sight of the Lord and
built towns and fortified them with WALLS, towers, gates and bars and enjoyed a time
of PEACE.
·
Nehemiah heard that the
walls
of the city of Jerusalem were torn down and prayed to God for favor with the
King to go and rebuild the walls. – The King was favorable and provided letters
of authorization plus a caravan of armed protection and money to get the walls
re-built, but
not without obstructionist who
came up with everything politically they could think of to stop the wall
from going up. – This may be the very case
with Trumps Wall.
·
There had been so much
opposition
that when it was finally completed they realized that its completion had only been done by the
intervention of God. – It’s in the Book -
2 Chronicles 14:2 – Asa did what was good in the

7 Asa told the people of Judah, “Let us build towns and fortify them with WALLS, towers, gates, and bars. The land is still ours because we sought the LORD our God, and he has given us peace on every side.” So they went ahead with these projects and brought them to completion.

2 Chronicles 14:5-6 - Asa built up the wall and
had PEACE
5 Asa also removed the pagan shrines, as well as the incense altars from every one of Judah’s towns. So Asa’s kingdom enjoyed a period of PEACE.

Nehemiah 2:2-5 – Nehemiah prayed for the Kings
Favor
2 So the king asked me, “Why are you looking so sad? You don’t look sick to me. You must be deeply troubled.” Then I was terrified,
3 but I replied, “Long live the king! How can I not be sad? For the city where my ancestors are buried is in ruins, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.”
4 The king asked, “Well, how can I help you?” With a prayer to the God of heaven,
5 I replied, “If it please the king, and if you are pleased with me, your servant, send me to Judah to rebuild the city where my ancestors are buried.”

Nehemiah 2:9 – The king
sends letters, soldiers and cash
9 When I came to the governors of the province west of the Euphrates River, I delivered the king’s letters to them. The king, I should add, had sent along army officers and horsemen to protect me.

Nehemiah 2:18-20 – The wall is built with OBSTRUCTIONIST
18 Then I told them about how the gracious hand of God had been on me, and about my conversation with the king. They replied at once, “Yes, let’s rebuild the wall!” So they began the good work.
19 But when Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem the Arab heard of our plan, they scoffed contemptuously. “What are you doing? Are you rebelling against the king?” they asked.
20 I replied, “The God of heaven will help us succeed. We, his servants, will start rebuilding this wall. But you have no share, legal right, or historic claim in Jerusalem.”

the Jews,

Do they think they can build the wall in a single day by just offering a few sacrifices? Do they actually think they can make something of stones from a rubbish heap—and charred ones at that?”

Nehemiah 4:7-8 – Made plans to throw the Wall into
confusion
7 But when Sanballat and Tobiah and the Arabs, Ammonites, and Ashdodites heard that the work was going ahead and that the gaps in the wall of Jerusalem were being repaired, THEY WERE FURIOUS.
8 They all made plans to come and fight against Jerusalem and throw us into CONFUSION.

Nehemiah 6:15-16 – The Wall was finished with
God’s favor

God on
Politics
·
Franklin Graham speaking
about the election (paraphrased) said Trump and Pence
didn’t have a chance, but Christians prayed and then God showed up. – God
placed Trump in office; this was not prophecy he is just repeating what God
already said in the
Book.
·
Those pulling the strings
of politics
took council together to steer the election, but God in heaven just laughs at
all their conniving.
·
It is God in Heaven that removes Presidents
and sets up Presidents and it is God that directs the President wherever He
chooses. – God makes nations and destroys them.

We are to pray for our

and for those in authority, to give them honor and respect. Therefore WHOEVER

Romans 13:1-8 – God puts all Presidents in Power
1 Everyone must submit to governing authorities.
FOR ALL AUTHORITY COMES FROM GOD, and those in positions of authority have
been placed there by God.
2 So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.
3 For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you.
4 The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong.
5 So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.
6 Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid. They are serving God in what they do.
7 Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority.
8 Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.

God

·
I want to speak about
those in power,
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. - Those in authority will be judged with a
greater strictness than others. God
is watching over His word and will perform it.
·
Pharaoh who opposed God and all
of Israel was
appointed by
God for the very purpose of
displaying God’s power to everyone and to spread His fame throughout the earth.
– Through God’s plan and purpose, Pharaoh brought JUDGEMENT on Israel.
·
King Nebuchadnezzar was the king of Babylon
where all the heathen gods were birthed along with the famed tower of
Babel. - He was the enemy of Israel and
of God; but God used him in His sovereign plan.
He was the agent of God’s Justice. – The Lord God called him His servant
and in God’s plan and purpose, he brought JUDGEMENT on Israel. - NYOBS 18.10 – TOWER OF

NOTE; In the
beginning I believe Nebuchadnezzar was a non-Believer, then became a
Make-Believer and in the end I believe The Book supports
that he became a True Believer, so if Trump seems to be a Make-Believer to you,
I think that the Holy Hound of Heaven will
get him while he is still in office. – NYOBS 67.22 – TRUMP PRAYER & GOD

At Trump’s inauguration at St. John’s Episcopal
Church, Pastor Robert Jeffress said; “When I think of you, President-elect
Trump, I am reminded of another GREAT LEADER God chose thousands of
years ago in Israel.
·
The nation had been in BONDAGE for decades, the infrastructure of
the country was in shambles, and God raised up a POWERFUL
LEADER to
restore the nation. And the man God chose was NEITHER A POLITICIAN NOR A PRIEST.
Instead, God chose a BUILDER whose name was Nehemiah.
·
And the first step of
rebuilding the nation was the BUILDING OF A
GREAT WALL.
- God instructed Nehemiah to build a wall around Jerusalem to protect its
citizens from enemy attack. - You see, God is NOT against building walls!”

Jeffress said Nehemiah finished the
walls in 52 days without funding from congress.

My personal observations
of Trump
is that he is THEOLOGICALLY
CHALLENGED about
spiritual things, but over his first year as President, he seems to be moving
closer to God and is steadily embracing not just religion, but Christianity. I don’t have a clue if this is politically
motivated or if GOD IS HUMBLING HIM. - NYOBS 75.25
